Disc Jockeys

At THE entertainment SOURCE we've gone to great lengths to insure the success of every party that chooses a Disc Jockey for dance and/or incidental music. (Never again will you have to suffer through an untrained 'part-time D.J.' showing up with the equivalent of his home stereo system and whatever records he happens to own; and arriving late - if at all!) We've removed all doubts and taken control of the entire process by establishing a specialized Electronic Entertainment Division that offers the following:

Over 70 professional Disc Jockeys, all with an encyclopedic knowledge of music; and including theme specialists (50's & 60's, Caribbean, Top 40, Ethnic, etc.). We insist on superior communication skills, a personable attitude and close attention to dress, demeanor, punctuality and presentation.

Top quality sound systems in configurations suited to all audience sizes and event types. We also offer lots of lighting and video options, as well as Karaoke equipment, special effects and even laser shows!

A massive music library with selections ranging from the 20's to today's Top 20 - on tapes, records, compact discs and video (all A.L.V.A. licensed).

Careful attention to details such as staging, power, load-in times and access routes - which are all transparently arranged with your venue at no cost or bother to you. When events are taking place, we even keep a couple of Disc Jockeys and a variety of equipment on 'standby', so that you're always protected.

Finally, the Personal Touch. After getting some specifics about your event and audience (size, demographics, musical style preferences, desired mood , etc.), we select the perfect Disc Jockey for you. That individual will then call you personally a week or two before your party to discuss such details as specific musical requests, awards, announcements, spot dances, door prizes, etc. Nothing is assumed, or left to chance.

Video Jockeys

For the ultimate audio/visual experience, how about a Video Dance Party? Along with all of the above services, you'll get specially trained personnel, a wide selection of music videos, video tape players, television projectors and one or more screens (ranging from 6' x 8' to 12' x 16'). Optional lights, lasers and special effects add even more impact.

Karaoke and Singing Machines

If your parties have developed a certain 'sameness' over the years, just add a Singing Machine or Karaoke. They'll never be the same again!

These interactive attractions may be used alone, or as part of a comprehensive program. Members of the audience will 'perform' by singing their favourite songs into the machine over a pre-recorded instrumental background, while a second tape records the performance for posterity. Basic units have the backgrounds on audio tape or CD and come complete with a professional Performer/Operator, selection lists, request and lyric sheets and 10 free blank 'souvenir' tapes. All musical styles and eras are well represented, with upgraded sound systems available to allow for any audience size .

For the ultimate impact, we also offer Video Laser Disc Karaoke, which offers all of the above, with the addition of a video player and two or more television sets or projection monitors. The backgrounds are on video discs which are similar to a music video (without vocals), with the lyrics scrolling along the bottom of the screens.
